Organising your wedding ceremony

Pollokshields burgh hills are licenced by the Marriage (Scotland) Act 1977, Marriage (Approval of places) (Scotland) Regulations 2002 and are an approved place in which to hold a civil marriage or civil partnership.

All the spaces at the halls are licenced for civil marriages and partnerships. Each room has a licenced maximum seating capacity. The cost is currently £100 and our caretakers will set it up for a ceremony in the couple’s chosen room. The Registrars are keen for couples to know that they can make it as personal as couples wish as long as it’s non religious.

Below shows the maximum number of guests each room is licenced for, for civil marriages or partnerships.
