Do Good while the Holly is Green

Pollokshields Burgh Hall is held in Trust for the use by the community of Pollokshields and beyond.

As the Halls were established after an act of philanthropy by the Stirling Maxwell family,  the Trust has adopted their family motto - "Do good while the holly is Green".  Anyone volunteering at the Halls becomes part of the community that helps preserve the hall for future generations.

Volunteer Trustees

Pollokshields Burgh Hall is managed by a Trust of people with a keen interest in the preservation of the building as an community asset.  â€‹

Regular Volunteers

Through the spring and summer months, we have a small volunteer team dedicated to upkeep of the Trust's property and grounds. Volunteering is rewarding and refreshments are available.   If you would like to pop along and give a couple of hours a week we would love to see you!

Volunteer Work Parties

We have been fortunate to host large work parties from the corporate world who have helped with external works: ground clearance, landscaping, painting and more!

All volunteers are covered by the Trust's insurance and the operational staff will provide a work plan, PPE, lunch and a BBQ (weather permitting) at the end of the day.

If you want to have a team building day out of the office with your team, contact us at office@pbhalls.co.uk
